Create Out Loud #1: Reporting Redesigned with Tamara Witschge
This year’s Create Out Loud is set in the MU exposition The New Newsroom: Reporting Redesigned, where artists, journalists and designers take a closer look at the news as a phenomenon in itself. Traditional forms of news like the papers and magazines are rapidly giving way to digital formats; we are submerged in new media that give us numerous innovative ways to create and share stories. But how do we use digital technology to generate meaningful content? How do we handle the stream of information? Do we still consider all these stories as news or are we dealing with alternative forms of experience and meaning?
Together with Dr Tamara Witschge, associate professor at the University of Groningen, and several designers and journalists we dive into the fascinating future of the news. As host of this evening, MU director and curator Angelique Spaninks will link her present role to her previous work in journalism.
